The Gift of Being Yourself

There is only one problem on which all my existence, my peace, and my happiness depend: to discover myself in discovering God. If I find Him I will find myself and if I find my true self I will find Him. ~ Thomas Merton quoted by David Benner

About Me

A seeker of grace and truth
A student of life who desires to live more honestly each day, and be more respectful toward myself and others; a slow reader who wish to gobble up all the good books that seem to offer good answers to my many questions.

A Promise from Jesus

Keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks, receives. Everyone who seeks, finds. And to everyone who knocks, the door will be opened... So if you sinful people know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give good gifts to those who ask Him.
